NFP project to enjoy soft loans
The Far East Development Fund will provide a loan of 7 billion rubles (more than $106 million) for the Nakhodka Fertilizer Plant (NFP) construction project. The plant is going to be placed on the territory of advanced development (TOR) “Neftekhimichesky” (Primorsky region).
NFP will produce 1.8 million tons of methanol and the same amount of ammonia per year. The start of its construction is scheduled for 2019, and by 2023 the plant will have been launched and will have reached full capacity.
The location in the TOR “Neftekhimichesky” makes NFP eligible for the preferential tax treatment: no income tax in the first 5 years, reduced property tax and lower rates of insurance premiums during the first 10 years of operation.
