The volume of exchange-traded fertilizers approached 11 thousand tons in 2019

Last year, mineral fertilizer sales at the Saint Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (SPIMEX) amounted to 10.894 thousand tons at a cost of 215.256 million rubles (almost $ 3.5 million).

Currently, at SPIMEX, deals with ammonium nitrate, carbamide, ammophos, ammophos and carbamide-ammonium mixture are being carried out.

“All the main types of mineral fertilizers, all the main producers are presented at our site,” said Alexey Rybnikov, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors at SPIMEX.

It should be reminded that transactions with carbamide started at SPIMEX on December 19, 2017. The first deal amounted to 20 tons of carbamide at a cost of 322 thousand rubles (approximately $ 5.5 thousand).
