New agrochemicals developed in Azerbaijan

The Institute of Petrochemical Processes of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan has received a license to produce two new types of fertilizers Azofos and Azofos K.

The National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan together with the Inkor company developed a special technology for their production. The Agricultural Credit and Development Agency under the Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan registered them and has already included into the list of permitted mineral fertilizers.

Azofos and Azofos K will be the first Azerbaijani fertilizers containing such basic plant nutrients as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium.

In 2019, the Az-Granata company used Azofos K in its grape and pomegranate orchards, which allowed to harvest 253 tons more grapes and 1450 tons more pomegranates. In addition, Azofos K has been successfully tested in crops such as cotton, wheat, oats and clover.
