Togliattiazot froze nitrogen fertilizer prices

The Togliattiazot plant (Samara region) has fixed average prices for nitrogen fertilizers until the end of autumn field works.

In recent years, Togliattiazot has been actively increasing sales of nitrogen fertilizers to the domestic market. According to the Federal Antimonopoly Service, in 2019, the company became the largest supplier of carbamide for Russian agriculture.

“Fixing prices for mineral fertilizers will help to avoid their growth during the sowing season, will support our consumers, and will also create additional conditions for increasing purchases on the domestic market. The taken measure will facilitate the planning of economic activities for farmers and ensure the preservation of profitability for agricultural enterprises,” said Vladislav Pustynnikov, Deputy General Director of Togliattiazot.

Earlier, EuroChem, Acron Group as well as some other producers of mineral fertilizers announced the fixation of prices for them. However, neither they nor Togliattiazot agreed to reduce it.
