Novomoskovskiy Azot has launched the new carbamide-ammoniac compound production

The Novomoskovskiy Azot plant (part of EuroChem) launched a new production of the carbamide-ammoniac compound with a capacity of 423 thousand tons per year, which will replace the old one. The construction required 657 million rubles (about $9 million) of capital investments.

The launch of the new production took place via video conference during the meeting of the State Council Commission on Industry chaired by the Governor of the Tula region Andrey Dyumin. It was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Yuri Borisov and Aide to the President of Russia Igor Levitin.

“It’s rewarding that the production was created based on Russian technologies, which opens prospects for further projects. At the new production facility, labor productivity will increase by 17%, energy efficiency by 20%, and the volume of emissions into the atmosphere will be significantly reduced. This is an important event for the Tula region and the mineral fertilizer industry,” said Yuri Borisov.
