Stavropol will create more flower greenhouses
The area of flower greenhouses will almost double in the city of Stavropol by 2023. The city’s administration has planned the construction of over 800 sq. m of new greenhouses to provide the city with seedlings of its own production.
“We are developing a project for the construction of two tunnel greenhouses with a total area of over 800 sq. m. They will produce large volumes of seedlings in the protected ground during the whole year. Greenhouses will be equipped with modern technologies like ventilation, heating, dimming system, irrigation system, photochemical control, and carbon dioxide feeding. The old construction with an area of a thousand square meters is also being renovated. The equipment and glass frames will be replaced there,” the press-service of Stavropol said in its statement.
As the press-service explained, the construction of new greenhouses is expected to begin in 2022 to receive the first seedlings by 2023. The expansion of its production area will cover Stavropol’s demand for flowers by 50-70%.
