Third greenhouse complex may be created in Komi region
At the meeting of the government of the Komi Republic, the mayor of Vorkuta Yaroslav Shaposhnikov announced the plan to build a greenhouse complex in the city.
“We have already allocated a land plot of 11 hectares for the construction of the greenhouse complex and confirmed the possibility of connecting it to engineering networks, the most important of which is gas supply. The new complex is planned to produce tomatoes, cucumbers and sweet peppers,” said Yaroslav Shaposhnikov.
Currently, there are two greenhouse complexes in Komi – “Prigorodny” and “Sosnogorsky”.
“The creation of new greenhouses in the north of Russia will not only provide its residents with fresh vegetables but will also increase the demand for water-soluble fertilizers,” commented the information and analytical service of Fertilizer Daily.
