EuroChem-VolgaKaliy plans to reach full capacity by 2025

By 2025, the VolgaKaliy company (part of EuroChem) should ensure the production of 2.3 million tons of potassium chloride per year, the EuroChem’s press-release says.

Currently, the length of the underground workings of potassium salts already exceeds 96 km. On average, miners overcome about 120 meters per day. In total, since the start of the EuroChem-VolgaKaliy project, 3 million tons of potassium salts have been mined there.

According to the statement of Yevgeny Sakharov, Executive Director of EuroChem-VolgaKaliy, once it reaches its full capacity, the enterprise will produce 2.3 million tons of potassium chloride per year, with the possibility of growing up to 4.3 million tons per year.

EuroChem-VolgaKaliy is developing the Gremyachinskoye potash deposit (Volgograd region), the reserves of which exceeds 1.6 billion tons with an average content of potassium chloride of 39.5%.
