KazAzot will create a new ammonia-carbamide complex in Aktau

KazAzot plant has chosen a contractor to develop a base project to create a new ammonia-carbamide complex. The contract costs 16.75 million euros, the basic project must be prepared within 12 months.

The future ammonia-carbamide complex will be located on the territory of the Free Economic Zone Seaport Aktau. Its capacity is 600 thousand tons of ammonia, 395 thousand tons of nitric acid, 577 thousand tons of carbamide, and 500 thousand tons of ammonium nitrate per year.

Last year General Director of KazAzot Arman Mauleshev and Chairman of the Board of the Free Economic Zone Seaport Aktau Askhat Kabashev signed a memorandum of cooperation. It provides for the allocation of a land plot and assistance in obtaining investment preferences and benefits provided for by the current legislation.

KazAzot produces ammonia, ammonium nitrate, and complex fertilizers.
