TogliattiAzot treatment facilities are ready for the new season

A major overhaul of the storm sewer system has been completed at the TogliattiAzot treatment facilities. During the work, modern trenchless technology was used, which makes it possible to restore damaged sections of the pipeline without opening the top sheet.

Restoration work began in June 2023 and took place in three stages. The pipeline, which diameter ranges from 600 to 1,200 mm, was accessed through a sewer well. Damaged areas were identified using video examination. The new pipes used to repair the structure are made of plastic strip profile.

Among the most significant works is the repair of a stormwater reservoir with a volume of 20 thousand cubic meters. To increase the strength of joints and waterproofing in a storm reservoir, the technology of gunning butt joints using a solution with a polymer-mineral additive was used.

Biological treatment facilities, which are part of TogliattiAzot, purify not only the enterprise’s own wastewater but also receive wastewater from the Komsomolsky district of Togliatti and the Povolzhsky microdistrict. They are capable of processing more than 100 thousand cubic meters of wastewater per day.
