Russia’s minister of industry and trade, Denis Manturov, has said that in 2024 the country’s agrochemical manufacturers will produce around 60 million tonnes of fertilizers. He indicated that 35 million tonnes of these will be exported. Manturov told local media that this will equate to year-on-year growth of 2.6% for fertilizer production and 4.2% for fertilizer exports.

The minister also stated that significant work has been done to facilitate the trans-shipment of mineral fertilizers at Russian ports. He said that the country is pivoting from Baltic ports to domestic ports since this is important for its industrial development and economic security.
