Russia proposes to modernize Pakistan’s fertilizer plants
Russia has expressed readiness to assist Pakistan in modernizing its fertilizer manufacturing facilities. The announcement was made by Aleksei Gruzdev, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, during a meeting with Pakistan’s Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, in Islamabad.
The discussions between the two officials focused on reinforcing economic ties and probing new avenues for trade between Russia and Pakistan. Gruzdev articulated Russia’s intention to increase its exports of not only agricultural and railway machinery but also metal products to Pakistan.
Minister Jam Kamal Khan emphasized the considerable untapped potential in trade relations between the two countries. He pointed out the opportunities that could arise from strengthened cooperation.
The meeting also set the stage for the upcoming 5th Joint Working Group meeting, which is scheduled to take place on the 26th of this month in Islamabad. This meeting is expected to further the dialogue on enhancing bilateral trade and economic interactions.
