IFDC and Coromandel collaborate to drive fertilizer innovation

India’s agricultural company Coromandel International has announced a partnership with the U.S.-based International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC) to enhance innovation and sustainability in fertilizer development. This strategic partnership is set to address key agricultural challenges by creating next-generation fertilizers that are not only more nutrient-efficient but also enhance crop productivity and reduce environmental impact. The collaboration combines Coromandel’s in-depth market expertise with IFDC’s global leadership in fertilizer research, potentially leading to transformative advancements in the agricultural sector.
Coromandel is leading the initiative through its advanced research and development facilities located in Vishakhapatnam, IIT Bombay, and Coimbatore. These centers are dedicated to developing innovative products that promote agricultural productivity and long-term soil health.
IFDC, known for its research facilities in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, plans to expand its presence in India by establishing a Fertilizer Innovation Center. This expansion aims to strengthen collaborative research efforts and provide tailored solutions to meet India’s specific agricultural challenges.
