AgriPass raises $7.5 million to scale AI-powered weed control in U.S. and Europe

      Share

AgriPass, a Tel Aviv-based agricultural robotics company founded in 2023, has raised $7.5 million in seed funding to accelerate the deployment of its AI-driven weed control platform across the U.S. and Europe. The round was led by Harbor Venture Consulting, with participation from E44 Climate Ventures and other strategic partners.

The company said the capital will support manufacturing readiness, expanded field operations, and further development of its cultivation platform across additional crops and use cases. AgriPass already has active commercial deployments in both the U.S. and the European Union, with contracted and advanced-stage engagements contributing to projected 2026 revenue.

Human-inspired AI targets weeds at the root

At the center of AgriPass’s offering is RHIC, short for Robot of Human-Inspired Cultivation, an AI-powered weeding platform designed to replicate manual agronomic decision-making in real time. The platform combines computer vision, real-time contextual AI, and adaptive mechanical actuation to selectively remove weeds at the root level while minimizing soil disruption and eliminating reliance on chemical herbicides.

The platform dynamically adjusts depth and engagement based on weed presence, crop proximity, and soil conditions, enabling what the company describes as human-like selectivity at an industrial scale. According to AgriPass, the platform can replace up to 20 manual workers in a single day, addressing persistent labor shortages in specialty crop production.

Initially focused on high-value vegetable crops, RHIC is positioned to help small- and mid-sized farms transition to regenerative, sustainable practices by reducing herbicide use, lowering input costs, and preserving soil health. The platform adapts to various crops, row spacings, and field conditions and is already operating in the European Union and the United States.

      Positioning within the ag-robotics ecosystem

AgriPass collaborates with partners across the ag-robotics and food-system ecosystem, including FYELD Agriculture OEM, EIT Food, and the NVIDIA Inception Program. The company said these relationships support both technology development and field deployment.

Chief Executive Liron Yanay, who has more than two decades of experience in automotive, smart mobility, and SaaS technology, has led the company from prototype to commercial operations since its founding. AgriPass was recently named a winner of the 2025 Climate Solutions Prize, and Yanay was recognized among leading women in AgFood innovation.

The company plans to attend the World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit in San Francisco from March 16 to 18, 2026, where CEO Liron Yanay and Investor and Founder Adi Vagman will be discussing Agripass and RHIC’s development.
