      Never miss important fertilizer news

VERIDAPT plans to showcase its digital bulk inventory monitoring and reconciliation platform at the Argus Fertilizer Europe Conference in Prague on Oct. 20–22, as fertilizer companies increasingly look for ways to improve visibility across physical supply chains.

The Sydney-based technology company said its platform is designed to address a persistent gap between physical inventory and the digital systems used to manage it. Fertilizer producers, distributors and traders often rely on periodic measurements, manual reconciliation and data collected across multiple operational systems. According to VERIDAPT, these processes can make it difficult to maintain an accurate, continuously updated picture of how much product is held in storage, where it is located and how inventory is moving.

From periodic checks to continuous inventory visibility

VERIDAPT’s technology combines automated measurement with cloud-based software to monitor bulk commodities stored in stockpiles, silos and tanks. The system is designed to provide continuous information on inventory levels and movements rather than relying solely on periodic physical checks.

The company said the platform can automatically reconcile physical inventory with recorded positions, identify unexpected movements and anomalies, and integrate inventory information with existing enterprise systems.

For fertilizer companies, inventory visibility can have direct operational implications because the sector operates around seasonal demand patterns, complex logistics and relatively narrow application windows. Accurate information about stocks can help companies understand what product is available and where it is located when making decisions about distribution and logistics.

VERIDAPT Vice President of Strategy & Growth, Damir Hasagic, said the company’s objective is to reduce the gap between physical operations and the digital information businesses use.

“You cannot optimize what you cannot see,” Hasagic said. “Fertilizer companies manage significant value in physical inventory, but when that information is periodic, fragmented or manually reconciled, there’s inevitably a gap between the physical operation and the digital systems used to manage it.”

The company argues that continuously updated inventory information can shift the focus from determining what happened to inventory toward using the data to make operational decisions.

Inventory data as a foundation for AI

VERIDAPT is also positioning its inventory monitoring technology as an underlying data layer for artificial intelligence and advanced analytics.

The company said fertilizer businesses are increasingly exploring AI, automation and other data-driven applications, but the effectiveness of these tools depends on the quality and reliability of the operational data they receive.

Rather than requiring customers to adopt a proprietary AI system, VERIDAPT said its platform can integrate with existing enterprise systems and allow companies to use their own analytics and AI tools with continuously updated physical inventory data.

Potential applications include identifying inventory anomalies, analyzing movements, improving forecasting and optimizing logistics. The platform could also provide a data foundation for companies developing other applications around their own operational requirements.

“VERIDAPT closes that gap by turning physical inventory into trusted, continuously available digital data, giving businesses greater visibility today and a reliable foundation they can connect to their own analytics and AI tools tomorrow,” Hasagic said.

      VERIDAPT targets fertilizer supply-chain operators

At the Argus Fertilizer Europe Conference, Hasagic is expected to meet with fertilizer producers, traders, distributors and other industry participants to demonstrate the platform and discuss applications for physical inventory monitoring.

The conference is expected to attract more than 700 attendees from more than 350 companies and 55 countries, according to VERIDAPT. The event brings together participants from across the fertilizer value chain, including producers, traders, agronomy experts and service providers.

VERIDAPT said it will target discussions with fertilizer producers, distributors, traders, storage operators and technology partners interested in improving inventory visibility, reconciliation and operational decision-making.

The company specializes in digital monitoring and reconciliation of high-value bulk commodities, with its technology designed for commodities stored and moved through stockpiles, silos, tanks and other bulk-storage environments. Its fertilizer offering is part of a broader focus on connecting physical commodity flows with digital operational data.
