Cropwise Explorer boosts retail agronomy as Syngenta combines 3 key data sources in one tool

Syngenta has launched Cropwise Explorer, a digital tool that lets U.S. ag retailers monitor many growers’ fields remotely and flag agronomic problems early.
The product is integrated into the company’s Cropwise farm management platform. It combines three data sources in one view: historical field performance, in-season crop information, and satellite imagery.
Anomaly detection highlights fields that are departing from expected development. An AI summary and weekly reports based on NDVI, a satellite measure of crop vigor, rank which fields should be scouted first, and explain why.
Other features include weekly field-insight reports and yield and productivity summaries. A time series function charts the current season’s crop development against earlier seasons. Retailers can log scouting notes, capture and download images, and pass alerts to growers through other Cropwise tools.
“Retailers need tools that save time and help with decision-making,” said Greg Uchtmann, digital ag solutions marketing lead at Syngenta.
Syngenta’s announcement gave no pricing or availability dates for Cropwise Explorer.
The launch targets the retail channel, where input suppliers compete to shape recommendations on seed, crop protection and nutrition. Equipment makers are pushing in the same direction: this week AGCO showcased AI-powered decision tools at its 2026 Tech Day.
