      Never miss important fertilizer news

Nutrien Ag Solutions Canada is introducing two financing programs for Canadian growers, offering annual rates of 4.9% and 7.9% on eligible crop inputs. The lower rate is available to qualifying growers who purchase at least 50 metric tonnes of fertilizer between July 1 and Dec. 31, 2026. The fertilizer purchase itself does not qualify for the 4.9% rate, though it may be financed separately through other Nutrien Financial programs.

A second option, available beginning Oct. 1, offers a fixed annual rate of 7.9% on eligible products without a fertilizer purchase requirement. Both programs are subject to credit approval, eligibility rules and other terms. Nutrien said the options are intended to give growers additional flexibility in purchasing crop inputs, including selected products from Proven Seed and Loveland Products. Growers can check eligible products and current program details at NutrienFinancialOffers.ca.

It is alarming to see these developments in California. As a vineyard grower, I have faced significant challenges this year, with fertilizer costs rising sharply while market conditions have made it difficult to sell the harvest.
