Uralchem has increased investments in the Azot Branch

The Uralchem company has invested 2.9 billion rubles (approximately $45.5 million) in repairs and modernization of equipment at the Azot Branch in Berezniki (Perm Krai), which is 800 million rubles (about $12.5 million) more than last year. The modernization took place in the ammonia production facilities, in the urea, weak nitric acid, waterproof ammonium nitrate, nitrite-nitrate salts plants, as well as in other units of the enterprise.

“The Uralchem invests significant funds and resources in renovation of existing production facilities,” said the chief engineer of the plant, Alexander Isachenkov. “This year, we paid special attention to repair works at the ammonia production unit, which provides the main divisions of the enterprise with raw materials. By joint efforts of production and repair staff, we modernized, replaced and repaired several thousand pieces of equipment and met the deadlines.”
