Shchekinoazot is preparing to open a new complex

The Shchekinoazot plant (Tula region) is commissioning a new complex for the production of nitric acid and ammonium nitrate. Its capacity should be 270 thousand tons of nitric acid and 340 thousand tons of ammonium nitrate per year.

“Although the launch date of the complex is still unknown, we can assume that its commissioning can take place either in December of this year or in the first months of 2023,” commented the information and analytical service of Fertilizer Daily.

At the same time, Shchekinoazot continues the construction of a complex for the production of 525 thousand tons of ammonia and 700 thousand tons of carbamide per year. Recently, an absorber and a regenerator of high and low pressure were installed on its site.

Shchekinoazot produces ammonia and ammonium sulfate.
