Novatek will supply Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals with raw materials

Novatek and Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding for the supply of liquefied natural gas and ammonia.

The Memorandum provides for sales of liquefied natural gas to Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals on a spot and long-term basis, including sales from the Arctic LNG 2 project. The parties also intend to cooperate on the sale of hydrogen and ammonia produced using technologies for capturing and underground storage of carbon dioxide, cracking and renewable energy sources.

Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals manufactures special and complex fertilizers, importing at least 400 thousand tons of ammonia per year.
