KazAzot was left without electricity due to emergency shutdown
The Mangistau Nuclear Power Plant, located in Aktau (Kazakhstan), had to unexpectedly shutdown two power units. This caused an emergency shutdown of the KazAzot enterprise. Due to this incident, the technological mode of production was violated at the plant.
The press service of the enterprise said that there is no threat to the health and life of the population. Production will start immediately after the resumption of electricity supply.

Europe is falling behind in this field. The concerns 30 years ago was reasonable. Now not so much. We need crops that can survive in a more extreme future climate. Handle droughts and hot weather better. Crops that are less tasty to pests like hogs and deere.
