Loveland Products introduces Extract XC to boost nutrient efficiency from crop residues

Loveland Products, a subsidiary of Nutrien Ag Solutions, has launched Extract XC, a reformulated version of its Extract Powered by Accomplish product line. This product line aims to improve nutrient release from crop residues and support fertility programs.
The new concentrated formulation requires only half the application rate of earlier versions, easing handling and lowering labor needs. According to the company, Extract XC helps release more nitrogen and sulfur tied up in residue, supporting better early-season crop growth and fertilizer efficiency.

“Farmers are always looking for ways to get more out of every dollar they invest,” said Ron Calhoun, senior manager of plant nutrition at Loveland Products. “With Extract XC, they can get more nutrients working for their next crop while handling fewer jugs and making fewer passes.”
The product combines microbial-derived biochemistry with ammonium thiosulfate to speed residue breakdown, balance the carbon-to-nitrogen ratio, and make nutrients available even under cooler conditions. Reported agronomic benefits include extended nutrient availability, easier spring planting, and improved yield potential.
Extract XC is designed to integrate with fall burndown or liquid fertilizer applications and is compatible with herbicides such as glyphosate. Loveland said the approach enables farmers to enhance nutrient cycling without additional field passes, contributing to cost savings and long-term soil health.
Growers can access the product through Nutrien Ag Solutions crop consultants.
