Kirovo-Chepetsk Plant shows positive results

Kirovo-Chepetsk Chemical Plant (KCKK, part of Uralchem) reported on the production and financial results of the first half of 2020.

The volume of production for the first six months of 2020 amounted to 1.369 million tons, which is 4% more than in the same period last year. The volumes of the produced products were in accordance with market conditions.

The production of nitric phosphate fertilizer NP 33:3 increased by 5% to 221.6 thousand tons. The output of nitrogen sulfate (sulfonitrate) NS 30:7 raised by 44% to 102.3 thousand tons and the production of complex fertilizer NPKS 22:7:12:2 increased by 48%.

In January-June 2020, KCKK expanded its revenue by 15% to 19.195 billion rubles (approximately $268.7 million) and its net profit by 17% to 4.490 billion rubles (approx. $62.8 million).

“During this challenging pandemic period, we managed not only to maintain the stable operation of the plant and the health of employees but also to improve production and financial performance. We are implementing the planned work on the modernization of production facilities, and we also keep controlling the products’ quality. At the same time, the company is implementing projects for further development of the production, as well as environmental projects,” said Dmitry Trushkov, the Director of the KCKK Branch.
