Agribusiness AI agents startup Myca secures $1.3 million to expand across 4 key regions

India-headquartered Myca has raised $1.3 million in pre-seed funding to scale its agribusiness AI agents, software that coordinates the field teams of input suppliers, traders and processors.
Kriscore Capital led the round with Eximius Ventures. Indigram Labs Foundation and angel investors from agriculture also took part, AgFunderNews reported on October 7.
Myca said it will use the money to widen its product suite, hire engineers and expand across Southeast Asia, Latin America, Africa and India.
The company argues that agribusinesses in the Global South still run critical operations over WhatsApp, phone calls and spreadsheets. Its software takes in those messages, calls and photos, structures the data and uses AI agents to handle follow-up work that supervisors normally do. It sits on top of existing ERP and CRM systems.
Uses include field sales, crop surveys, procurement planning, credit assessment and warehouse tracking. The product launched in India and Indonesia in April and is now active in eight countries, the company said.
Myca names Bayer, Olam Food Ingredients, ETG-Parrogate, BigHaat and Dayatani among its customers.
Chief Executive Arnav Pandey said the raise took longer than usual because investors are wary of agriculture in the Global South. Funding for agribusiness AI agents and similar tools has been selective, though Tellia raised $5 million for voice AI in farm fields in September.
