Corteva names 9-person board for standalone crop protection company as Q4 separation stays on track

Corteva has announced the intended nine-person board of directors for its standalone crop protection company Vylor, the entity formerly known as “New Corteva,” ahead of the planned separation in the fourth quarter of 2026. Greg Page, retired chairman and CEO of Cargill, will serve as independent board chair.
Luke Kissam, the former chairman and CEO of Albemarle, joined Corteva on June 1 as CEO of the crop protection business and will become CEO and a board member of the standalone company at separation, now confirmed for October 1.
The new crop protection company will operate an asset-light, innovation-driven model, leveraging what Corteva describes as a first-mover advantage in nature-inspired technologies. The company intends to make targeted investments to support growth in markets that reward differentiation.
Most of Corteva’s existing board will continue with the crop protection entity. Karen Grimes, Marcos Lutz, Chuck Magro and Kerry Preete will not remain; Magro will lead Vylor, the seed and genetics spin-off. Both companies plan to host an investor day on September 15.
